We are a small family business located in Lancaster County Pennsylvania. We live in a farming community of Amish and English people. We are not Amish although frequently referred to being Amish by tourists. We are followers of Jesus Christ, conservative Mennonite.
We enjoy living in a wooded area and spending time outdoors. Making s'mores over a campfire and canoeing as a young family is some of our summer highlights. Our family also enjoys growing vegetables in our garden, canning the summer fruits and vegetables, taking care of a few chickens and spending time with family.
Homeplace Market Wagon is an effort to fill a need that was evident when we lived outside of the Amish communities for a period of time while doing voluntary service. Growing up in Lancaster County PA, we enjoyed many quality items like home canning supplies, quality baby items and locally made garden tools. Living out of the area, we soon realized that even if we wanted some of these items, they were not available no matter what cost. If we found a similar item online, you never where quite sure if the vendor was selling the real item or an imported imitation.
To support local trades-person's and offer a marketplace for them to sell their items on a trusted platform, while supporting Christian values and ethics.
To make quality merchandise available for the common thrifty family. To be a commerce site for families to sell items from their homes.
